Summer Outdoor Seating
This summer season, from May 28th to October 31st, we will have a variety of outdoor seating options as you enjoy our downtown - ranging from public community seating, restaurant dining, and pedestrian pathways, to beer gardens, bistro style tables, back patios and picnic tables.
Coming out of this past year, we all recognize the importance of connection, and we hope these newly created spaces offer more opportunities to gather with one another. Whether you want to eat out at your favorite restaurant on a summer evening, or catch up with friends and family downtown, there’s more spaces than ever for you to enjoy and connect with all that Rockland has to offer!
As a start of on ongoing art project, community volunteers, including business owners, non-profit members, and residents, came together to paint the jersey barriers that will be used Downtown, using a color palette selected by students in the Arts in Action program (Arts in Action is a program of RSU13 Adult and Community Education with the support of the ANONIMO Foundation). Students will continue to paint and design these elements throughout the summer, with the coordination of Alexis Iammarino and Arts in Action.
